We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Money Order, Cashier’s Check, and PayPal. Personal checks must clear prior to release of your order. Paypal orders incur an additional 4% charge for Paypal fees.

Deposits

25% holds any piece. Please be mindful that this deposit is non-refundable. This amount can be used towards a credit on another “in stock” item.

Nor Cal Guitar uses UPS to insure prompt delivery to your door. We offer FREE shipping for all online shopping cart orders over $299 within the continental US!

In Stock Items are shipped within 1 Buis Day of receiving cleared payment.

Most items are shipped via Ground Service, but special arrangements can be made if you have unique requirements. Need it quick?
For a nominal charge we can ship 1 Day, 2 Day, or 3 Day Express.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with any product, please contact one of our representatives at 530-887- 8294 to let us know before shipping your order back.

You will be responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping cost will be deducted from credit if original order qualified for free shipping.

Online, In store,  and phone transactions have a 72 hour approval period.  Items approved for return must be returned by the customer in a timely fashion, not to exceed 14 days from date of delivery.  All refunds will be less any applicable shipping charges.

All returning Items must have an RA number issued by one of our representatives. Any item returned without authorization will be refused. The item (s) must be shipped back in the same condition and manner as received. Items which have been modified in any way will not be accepted. No returns on Layaway items, Closeout, Discontinued, or Sale items.

Special Order/Custom Order items are not eligible for return.

Please pack items carefully, returning items that are damaged due to improper packaging will be refused, and will not be issued credit.

Use these guidelines to help when returning an item:

  • Item must include include a return authorization (RA) number
  • Item must be in like-new condition
  • Item must be in the complete original packaging
  • All accessories that were originally included must be returned
  • All literature that was originally included — manuals, warranty card, etc. — must be returned in new condition
  • Double-box the product before shipping
  • Use standard packing tape — no duct tape
  • Do not write on the original box
  • Affix shipping label with RA number

All items must arrive back to NCGS in like new condition.

We maintain a great selection of new, used and vintage guitars. We do our best to describe each instrument in full and provide high resolution images of all items to help in the buying process. To that end, all items carry a 72 Hour Approval period only. You’ll have a few days with your recently purchased used instrument to ensure it’s the one for you. No reason needed to make a return if you choose to do so, just let us know within the approval window.

Trades

If you trade in a guitar, you will have 72 hours to approve the item you receive in trade, regardless of its condition.

This will ensure that we hold on to your traded-in guitar for enough time to guarantee that you’re satisfied with your new or used item. Unfortunately we cannot hold trades for any more than 72 hours if purchasing a new item with your trade-in.

Damaged and Defective Items

We visually inspect every item before it is packed for shipment. If you believe you have received a damaged or defective product, please contact us immediately so we can assist you, we will be  happy to do so. Guitars, basses, and other equipment returned to us with pick marks, “buckle-rash” or any other damage or evidence of use may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%. All items must be returned to us in the same condition they were when shipped to qualify. Items that have been modified by your guitar or amp technician will not qualify for return. We reserve the right to refuse any return if we determine the item has been misused, modified or damaged by the purchaser.
